Breast reduction is a physically enabling procedure as well as a cosmetic improvement for many women. Traditional breast reduction involves surgical removal of breast and fat tissue with general anesthesia and some post operative discomfort. As the breast reduction is produced by excising tissue a large scar results from surgery and may thicken due to the weight of the remaining breast tissue.
