Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is a significant problem for many patients. Clammy hands, sweaty faces, wet feet, and sometimes most disconcerting wet armpits cause embarrassment, odor, and inconvenience.

There are several treatments available for patients with these problems including:

  • Oral medications like anticholinergics and beta blockers reduce the ability of the sweat glands to produce sweat upon stimulation
  • Botox injections to palms, soles, and armpits can markedly reduce sweating for up to 6 months
  • Laser lipolysis can markedly reduce sweating in the armpits

After assessing the patient’s needs, Dr. Rachel can provide information about all of the options noted above to reduce worry and discomfort from this vexing problem.

Schedule a consultation with Dr. John Rachel to see how these medications and procedures can help you.
