Dr. John D. Rachel is board certified in Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery), board certified in Facial Plastic Surgery, board certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
An expert surgeon specializing in cosmetic facial plastic surgery, Rachel has an extensive background in medical research. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Michigan State University, he went on to graduate Alpha Omega Alpha (honor medical society) from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He also trained with Dr. William Beeson, the former president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Rachel has published numerous academic papers in prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals, including The Archives of Otolaryngology and Dermatologic Surgery, and has presented much of his work at national medical meetings.
For his work on skin care regimes, Rachel was the recipient of the John Orlando Roe award. He also received a prestigious National Institutes of Health grant from the federal government.
